Ogle County only has an occasional active case of TB disease.
However, latent TB infeciton is on the rise due to our immigrant
population and more frequent travel to countries with endemic TB
cases. If traveling out of country to an endemic region, contact
the Ogle County TB Nurse.
You will need a TB test before prior to leaving and again three
months after returning. Report classic signs of TB to your physician:
productive cough lasting three weeks or more: coughing up blood:
night sweats: unexplained fever or chills:unexplained anorexia or
weight loss
